Way too long!

It has been way too long since the last post (besides that one we did today) so here is an update of things around our house. I have made it through the first 3 months of teaching a highly gifted, split class. It has definitely been interesting, and they have kept me on my toes. Anna has survived her first 3 months of high school in Texas and managed not to go to one football game. I don't know how she did it! She is enjoying choir and art. She has had a concert already and had a solo, she did an awesome job. Daniel has managed his last semester of school (YEA!!!) He only has 3 more weeks till graduation. I can't believe it. We are so proud of him. He does have a job after graduation as well. He got the job he wanted working in the ER at Parkland. As far as everything else we have been up to here is a little recap!Jenn and John got married this summer. Jenn really did a wonderful job planning. They moved out to California and we miss them very much, but am excited for them to come for Christmas.

Rich and Miranda got married as well. It was the weekend after school had started, so Daniel and William went back to Idaho for the occasion. Anna also went and missed the first week of school. I am sorry I missed it, but heard it was wonderful.

We had Halloween. This is the first year that William really 'got' Halloween. He kept talking about how he wanted to be a cowboy, so that is what he was. He had such a great time. He went with his cousins and had a blast. I think he enjoyed saying trick or treat and then people just giving him candy! We had a young women camp out. It was so much fun. We got there late at night when it was already dark, so it was a little hard getting tents set up and a fire started, but once we had that with some good food we were good. The next day we met up with the young men in out ward and we all went rock climbing. Anna did a great job. I was impressed how fast and easy she made it look. Even all us leaders had a go up the side. It really was a great time.Last but not least, we had to get our plumbing fixed. WHAT A MESS!! This is what our dining room looked like for 3 days. It is a good thing there are no pictures of our living room. After 3 days and 3 holes later, it was fixed and we are all back to normal--sort of.

I am REALLY glad I haven't had to deal with stuff like that yet! And by stuff I mean having to redo plumbing and dealing with a messed up house while it gets done.
And I think it's awesome that William knows what Halloween is! My kids still don't get it, so I almost wasn't going to take them out, but my neighbor made me feel guilty. They dressed up in their princess dresses and we went out.
It's so fun to read what's happening in your family!

Yea for Daniel getting the job he wanted! I'm so happy for you. And yea for Jessica making it through the first 3 months of school. I love the picture of William, he really cracks me up. And good job Anna with the rock climbing. I wish we could do things like that with our Young Women. Unfortunately we have too many on the "girly" side to do much of anything outdoors.
Thanks for the update. It was really fun to read.
