Christmas Break

So we hit the ground running and haven't slowed down yet. I can't believe how fast time flies, and how fast this year has gone. Friday after school I left right away came home and got ready to go. Daniel had his pinning that night and we had to take the little one over to Jody's. It was nice to get dressed up and go out with out the little one. It was really nice of Jody to babysit. I am so proud of Daniel and all that he has done. He has worked hard and made things work, when I didn't think they were going to.
Then on Saturday was graduation. Can you tell it was a little too long for the little one. Poor guy just wanted to get down and play in the dirt. Jody and I took the kids to the 'tubes' (as they call it) in down town Dallas. Neiman Marcus put this fun tube display in their story windows and the kids can crawl through it. They went through it about 8 times before it was time to go. They had a blast. We also went to the mall where they had a big train display. We have gotten snow (twice now) and a white Christmas. It was fun when we were inside just looking at, or outside building a snowman, but once we hit the road not so much fun any more. For Christmas eve we has a Mabray favorite, Mexican food, played some games, made cookies for Santa, and food for the reindeer. Jennifer and Jon shared with us (more for the kids), the story of Jesus' birth. Jon used the little people nativity while Jennifer read from the scriptures. Christmas was great, this was the first year that William is starting to 'get' things. He understood Halloween, and Thanksgiving, and even Christmas. He kept saying "when are we going to have a party?" When I'd ask him why are we having a party he would tell me to celebrate Jesus' birthday. He is such a great little guy. Jeff gave all of us memberships to the Ft. Worth Museum of Nature and Science, so of course we all had to go Monday after Christmas. We have been going, going, going, and we won't stop.Tomorrow I will go and help set up for New Year's Eve dance. The next day Anna comes back, that night, Daniel and I will get to spend our New Year's Eve at the Youth dance. Before we know it school will be back it session and Daniel will be starting his new job in the ER. Great things to look forward to in the new year.
