The absence of any postings should not in anyway be construed as evidence that we are boring people. We may just simply be that way. However, we have also been quite busy. Looking back over the past months of our online absence I sit here and contemplate all that has transpired. Our family decreased in size with the move-out of Anna after her graduation in June from Lewisville High School. We took several pictures but because most of them are of her hugging everyone in the congratulatory line we uploaded just a few pictures and a video of the event.
Here we have Anna presenting her name to the LISD superintendent for announcement.

Anna reaching out for congratulations and reception of her diploma, or at least the for the case that would eventually hold the diploma.

This video is of the Superintendant reading aloud the names of the graduates, Anna's is about the third name read.

The happy Graduate!

We are very excited to learn about Anna's continued adventures as she prepares to go to college at BYU-I.

William and Weston have been working on their relationship and Weston loves his older brother. William has the ability to stop Weston mid-wail and get him laughing just as quickly. It is odd to see Weston's despair turn so quickly to amusement. His open mouth cries turn to squeals of pleasure in the same breath, the movement of his furrowed brows turning to arch upward in an expression of joy brings smiles to everyone in the room. The following, if they have loaded correctly, are of William and Weston. The video is of William singing a primary song to Weston as only William can, you'll have to turn the sound up on this one.

William has always admired Weston's natural mohawk and wanted a similar styling. This is the result.

This is a video taken of Weston stretching with his Dad. Weston takes a lot of joy in the simple things of life.

We have had the opportunity to visit with friends and family this summer and are very grateful for many who have opened their home to our visiting family, though few in number we tend to bring a little chaos wherever we go.
We traveled down to Houston to visit with Jaime and Kevin, while there we played in the gulf waters of Galveston and went to the Boardwalk in Kema, TX. Anna rode her very first roller coaster there. We all got a little sunburned but had a lot of fun with the Monsons and visiting Bjarnasons.
Photos to be added later (can't find the cable to extract the digital images).

We also journeyed to visit Nana in June and spent a weekend in Fort Smith, AR. William had a lot of fun running around Nana's big open living room and playing with Jessica's cousin's son, Parker. They are the same age but William is quite a bit smaller than Parker, but they got along real well.

Nana with Weston and Jessica with William. While visiting Nana, she let us watch some old family video of when Jessica was about eight years old. Her family would visit Nana in the summer and put on plays, swim in the pool, and celebrate birthdays on the Fourth of July. It was fun to see the family so many years ago though I think Jessica would liked to have edit was was viewed.

We also went and visited family in Terre Haute, IN and will post pictures of our time there when the elusive chord to the other camera is found. On the way back to TX we stopped by St. Louis, MO and took William to see the Arch National Monument there. This was the second time that Jessica and I had been there and possibly William but now he has memories of the place. It was such a nice day there in Missouri. The high temperature there was lower than the current lows in Dallas at the time. It was a lot of fun for us to be able to stop and see the museum under the arch. William was so excited to see everything, the displays detailing life of the era when the arch really was the gateway to the West.

With the summer coming to a close and "regular" life starting back up we look forward to the challenges and periods of growth on the horizon. Jessica has been busy each day in her classroom for the past two weeks preparing for the school year. Daniel continues to work in the Emergency Department and works on the newly formed Unit Based Council which has been a great honor for him. William is attending pre-school and enjoys sharing all the many things he does, or does not do for that matter, each day. Weston is, well Weston is Weston. He continues to grow and explore his environment.

Love the update. The videos are fun and it was so nice to see Nana again (even though it is in a picture). Sure do miss all of you! And I LOVE the mowhawk twins! :)
