Summer Update

It is hard after so long an absence to really update the world regarding the goings-on of our lives. We have had an eventful summer and have really enjoyed the time away from school, sort of. Jessica stayed busy throughout June teaching summer school. She has had trainings all summer long for school, and she is preparing to transfer from Riverchase Elementary, a place she has really grown to love, to McCoy Elementary, a place she hopes to come to love. She has been asked to teach a LEAP class of both second and third graders. While she isn't real sure how this coming school year is going to go, she is excited for the challenges it is sure to bring. Due to construction of McCoy and the addition of several new classrooms (one of them being Jessica's), Jessica has been unable to move directly from Riverchase to her new school. Jessica's classroom can be found in storage and in the Petrie residence as we wait for the official move in date.

William has been busy as well. He has re-acquainted himself with Grandpa Petrie and his Aunt Anna, who both came to visit back in June. Gpa. Petrie had to go back to Boise but Anna fell in love with Texas and decided to move in with us. Anna will be going into the eleventh grade at Lewisville High School. Anna has helped out a lot this summer by watching and entertaining William.

Daniel has picked up work with Parkland and Baylor Hospitals. He has also spent a good deal of time up at Lowes, trying to find someone who wants to build something together, namely a bathroom. The bathroom is basically finished now and everyone is happy to have it done. We all pitched in and put a lot of work into it. We have to give a lot of thanks to Todd, without whom we would never have made it, at least not as nicely. He donated a lot of time and tools to our project and we are grateful for his expertise.
