Sick Baby
So last night about 2:00 am William started fussing, now if you know William he really is a great sleeper at night. He has slept through the night since he was about 5 months or so. So when he fusses during the night there is usually something wrong. Well, sure enough Daniel went in to check on him and he had thrown up everywhere. So Daniel took care of the mess in the bed as I took care of William. William didn't want to go back to bed, so Daniel laid with him on the couch and of course a little while later, he (William), threw up again. We were running out of blankets so at 3:30 I was doing laundry. Finally, William went back to bed. Then, about 6 this morning he was back to throwing up. Needless to say it has been a 'fun' day. I am very blessed that I married someone who enjoys taking care of sick people, I don't do so well with throw-up. This is William laying on the couch. He normally is running around the house and we can't keep him out of things, so to see him like this we know he really must be hurting. Poor guy.

I don't do the barf thing either. Steve can handle it, and I'm so thankful that he does. I can take care of a mess once it's been made (sometimes) but being there as it's happening is more than I can handle.
Isn't there a clear distinction between "enjoys" and "doesn't mind"? There are some things I do because I enjoy them (playing raquet ball, watching soccer games, watching movies), and there are things I do because I don't mind (mowing the lawn, bandaging bleeding kids, shoveling snow off the driveway). But I have to admit that cleaning up vomit is not something I enjoy. Kudos to Daniel for being able to handle it so well.
